Yankees’ Betances, Montgomery move one other rehab check


DETROIT — Dellin Betances pitched a scoreless inning and struck out two in his second rehab look with Double-A Trenton as he tries to come back again from a shoulder impingement that was adopted by a lat pressure.

Jordan Montgomery, who’s getting back from Tommy John surgical procedure, began and gave up two runs (one earned) in three innings as Trenton beat Bowie 6-2 in a playoff-series opener in Trenton. Luis Severino is anticipated to begin for Trenton in his remaining rehab outing Wednesday. If all goes effectively, Severino ought to slide again into the rotation.

Stephen Tarpley (left elbow impingement) pitched a scoreless inning with two strikeouts.
