A lawsuit is claiming the New York Police Division compelled a girl to offer beginning whereas shackled in handcuffs.
In a lawsuit filed Thursday, the lady she says she went into labor in February in a police holding cell within the Bronx. She says police took her to Montefiore Medical Middle the place they handcuffed her wrists to the mattress and shackled her ankles.
The grievance says medical doctors warned the officers the constraints had been unlawful underneath state legislation. The lady, recognized solely as Jane Doe, says the expertise humiliated and traumatized her.
The lawsuit seeks damages for violating a girl’s civil rights and adjustments to police division coverage.
