The Adair County Sheriff’s Workplace tells information shops that the toddler is in secure situation at a hospital.
The sheriff’s workplace says the toddler and a 5-year-old boy discovered the gun Sunday in an unlocked truck close to the house. It says the gun then “discharged accidentally” and shot the toddler, who was hospitalized that afternoon.
Authorities didn’t instantly launch the identities of these concerned or say who owned the truck or gun.
The sheriff’s workplace and baby protecting companies are investigating.
