Meet the person who traveled to all 50 states to mow lawns for veterans


A 29-year-old man who traveled to each state to mow lawns without cost for veterans stated he hopes to “encourage others to get others to get on the market and assist out, particularly the veterans.”

Rodney Smith Jr., of Huntsville, Alabama, completed off his most up-to-date nationwide tour on Thursday in Hawaii. He advised “Good Morning America” that it began 5 years in the past when he noticed an aged man attempting to mow his garden.

“It seemed like he was struggling, so I pulled over and helped him,” he stated. “That is after I bought my purpose to mow lawns without cost for the aged, single mothers and veterans.”

He then made it his mission to assist others, beginning the 50 Garden Problem to encourage individuals to assist others of their neighborhood.

The problem went viral in 2017 and now has 400 youngsters collaborating nationwide.

On his most up-to-date tour of the nation, Smith devoted his time particularly to serving to veterans.

“I’ve come throughout so many veterans which can be struggling to get their garden mowed,” he advised ABC Information. “In the event that they served for our nation, we must always step up for them.”
