Girl at UWS yoga studio says teacher groped her all through class


A lady went to a yoga class on the Higher West Facet and was groped by a teacher, a brand new lawsuit claims.

Melyssa Hurley claims an teacher at Equinox’s Pure Yoga on West 77th Road made “inappropriate changes” to her throughout a Vinyasa yoga class in 2018, in line with her Manhattan Supreme courtroom lawsuit prices.

Whereas Hurley was in standing compass pose teacher Isaac Pena allegedly put his hand on her butt and “pressed his penis and torso into Ms. Hurley’s decrease buttocks and higher leg space,” the courtroom paperwork say.

Hurley left mid-class after the final groping and informed the receptionist what had occurred.

”Feeling violated and disgusted by the Firm’s inaction, Ms. Hurley then terminated her membership with Pure Yoga after a few years of membership,” the courtroom paperwork say.

Regardless of Pure Yoga claiming Pena did nothing unsuitable, Hurley came upon he was finally fired, in line with the courtroom papers.

Hurley is suing Equinox, Pena and Pure Yoga for unspecified damages.

Pena and Equinox didn’t instantly return requests for remark.
